Hello,
Application accesses an external MS-SQL DB.
Local DB for application is MYSQL
I have a process that refreshes the shipped Qty for a local BO by a process run against the external DB.
I need to email an alert when the shipped qty has reached 80% of the requested qty.
My question is, should I just call the alert process from the current process if the shipped qty is >=80% of the requested qty after the shipped qty has been updated or should I add a rule on the local mysql BO that calls the alert process if shipped qty >=80% of requested qty?
My concern is how does the BO rule know what record to send the alert out for?
Will the rule get triggered automatically when the process that refreshes the shipped qty meets the IF condition on the BO Rule?
Still trying to get a better understanding of BO Rules and when it is best to use them vs just calling another process from a process.
