Process help anyone

hi,

i have tried for the last 3 days on and off to solve what you may find an easy issue.

I need to match the Customer's state to a State which has a Defined Territory and insert it into a Customer object.
or in laymen terms, The customer needs a territory assigned. And to do so we could use the State to match between the 3 objects.

i have a bsv with 3 objects.

ObjectA = Customer
ObjectB = Territories (which has States as Peer and Many)
ObjectC = States

ObjectA rel to ObjectB (Customer.Territory) AND ObjectB rel to ObjectC (Territory.States)

Trying to match -

Customer.Statename to Territory.States.Statename

What i tried;

Process 1: FIND Customers Where Territories IS NOT DEFINED IN BATCHES OF 1
Process 2: FIND States WHERE States.Name=ThisCustomers.State
FIND Territories WHERE Territories.States.Name=That States
INSERT ThisTerritory IN ThatCustomers

got this far -

have a 2 step process now

Process 1 - finds Customers and States which match then goes to next Process (WORKS - Find Matches)
Process 2 - find Territories where Territories.States=ThisCustomers.State (FAILS - Cannot FIND Match)
INSERT Territories IN Customers.Territory

Territories has peer/many to States (a Territory has may states)

So to find a Match from Customer to Territory would mean we have to match Customer.State to Territory.States.StateName

and the three layers down doesnt work..

wierd cannot get my head around this....

Solved - after a drink i found the answer.

In 1 process

FIND match between State and Customer
FIND match between Territory and State & Customer
INSERT Territory in Customer

This way, everything is in CONTEXT and should work.
BTW, what the name of that drink? 😃 😃
