@Support - Questions on V7

BenHayat

Hi Support;

I like to ask you a few questions:

a) in V6, I've tried many to show images in the dropdown box but it never shows the images. Will we be able to show images (from database) easily (just like we select photo to show in grid)?

Secondly, will we have progress bar, so we can use in Wizards and forms, like the following?

Thanks!

images don't show up.
stop blaming AwareIM for not loading the images(JK 🙂 )

seriously: i tried loading an image in a list and couldn't do it too (using custom display)
on another note, if you try to load attribute of type document in HTML cell it will presume that its and image 😐 even if it's a pdf.

Actually, having images in a dropdown does work and I use it successfully so check your custom query. The progressbar is also an easy implementation using html but I agree, having this built in would be nice.

Do you load the images from the database?
example perhaps with img tag in HTML? 🙂

 <img class="media-object" src={img_database} >

doesn't work

Yes, image from database and this is what I use in the "Custom layout of dropdown":

<li class="aw-data-item" style="height:130px;width:142px;">
   <div style="width:142px;height:110px;font-size:14px;font-weight:bold;">{Title})<br>{Image}</div>
</li>

Guys, this message was posted "@Support" regarding V7 feature and NOT existing V6. Let's not get off track.

Thanks!

Henrik is right - images do work in version 6.0 and we do not intend to change the approach in version 7.0. Same applies to the progress bar.

Hi Support;

I don't know what Henrik is referring to that you confirm his approach, but this is where I'm trying to use image in the Dropdown and there is no place for "Custom layout".

When I select the "FullImage", I do not get any image showing.
Here at runtime, there is no image showing in dropdown.

@Support;

Never mind, I just noticed there is a Custom Layout at the bottom left of that screen. Never noticed it before.

Thanks Henrik,!
