I need to get an AirBnB type of feature that shows on one single layout:
- A search form for a 'City' BO,
- A list as a results for a query (some default one, then the results of the search form),
- A map with multiple pins showing the results of the same query as the above (i.e. a pin on each retrieved City).
Moreover:
- The list&map couple must be refreshed alltogether whenever user clicks the paging bar in the list footer, or performs a new search.
- Ideally, the pins on the map get bigger (or change color, etc.) when user hovers over each item in the list, so user can locate the item right on the map.
I bet AwareIM can allow me to achieve most of this, but I have not been able to figure out exactly how, so far.
For now, I have:
- created a presentation in the City BO comprised of a full google map,
- defined a query that uses this presentation (FIND ALL City),
- created a search form in the City BO,
- defined a Query that shows the list of Cities (FIND ALL City) with the form above selected in the Use Form dropdown,
- configured a 3-part layout in my VP: the form + the 2 Queries ('Run Query').
Based on all of this, when the VP loads up, I can see the form, the first 20 (default) results in the list, the first 20 (default) results on the map, but then obviously the map is not synced with the list when clicking Next on the list paging bar or doing a new search.
So I guess there is, hopefully, a way to sync the 2 queries or re-display the whole layout with the selected range of items selected in the paging bar or retrieved from a new search.
Besides, I am not sure there is any way, from within AwareIM to change the aspect of the pin when hovering over the corresponding item in the list.
Does anyone have some thought on how I could achieve this feature somehow?
Thanks.
