5.8 to 6.0

Hi,

So we had wanted to update an aged BSV but found that issues occurred when trying to go from 5.8 to 6.0

As you may have (or not) seen our lengthy post in problem's (Date Picker) we narrowed it down to the DATE fields
in all Objects not logged in as an Administrator.

We removed all the Roles, and event deleted and re-added Date fields to never resolve the issue. The only recourse is to delete the Objects and recreate them to get it working.

Is or Was there any known Best Practice to move from older versions to newer? Or did anyone else experience the same issues with DATE fields and ROLES?

the fix was

1) Delete the Role
2) Delete the VP

Recreate both and it was working again
