I have a complicated spreadsheet that I now have in AIm's Db. Through AIM Ii create all types of subtotals, averages per record (no problem). Now I need to do a simple task of taking 1 number from a 2013 record and subtracting 1 number from a 2014 record. Getting stuck. I was using a process to' find' the 2013 record and get the first number. Then I was using a 'Find' to get the 2014 number. Becasue I used another find, the first was out of context so I can't subtract one from the other.
FIND GrandTotals WHERE (GrandTotals.Year=MonthlyTransactions.Year-1 AND GrandTotals.Hospital=MonthlyTransactions.Hospital)
(So this gets the total for the previous year.)
GrandTotals.Difference=GrandTotals.GrandTotalPharmacyPoCOSTAdjustedDayAverage
(I need to store this number to use, but don't even really want it in this difference)
(Now I am finding Current year)
FIND GrandTotals WHERE (GrandTotals.Year=MonthlyTransactions.Year AND GrandTotals.Hospital=MonthlyTransactions.Hospital)
So this gets the total for the current year. But now I have to subtract the one from the other.
(This amount is what I want in this year, and nothing in the other first find (last Year). Last Year will get updated in the same manner though.
So basically its where last year subtracts this year, and keeps going for all years.
I don't think you can combine the "find" where I find the first, number and second number, and then subtract the two?
It's probably basic, but I am stuck.
Any help in pointing me in the right direction will help.
Thanks,
Mark
