Survey / Training Form select choices

Hi,

Has anyone done a survey / training form in Aware?

My issue at the moment is when a question has 5 choices and the user can only pick the top 3 answer.

Is there a way to control the number of 'select' a user can do in a Checkbox list? so that when the user has selected 3 the other choices gets disabled?

I don't use this feature but I believe that it saves a comma separated list in the database. So you could have a rule that checks for the number of commas.

You could probably do it with some sort of dynamic rule.

The issue I am having is that my checkbox list is from another BO.

I have the following:

QuestionsBO
attrib: QuestionNo - number
attrib: Choices - Reference to ChoicesBO (Peer / Multiple)

ChoicesBO
attrib: ChoiceText - plainText
attrib: RightAnswer - Yes/No

What AwareIM does is that it creates a QuestionsBO_REF table in the database that holds the selected choices.

The issue is HOW do I COUNT/READ the number of records thats stored in the QuestionsBO_REF table???

Hi Tom,

The problem is that the QuestionsBO_REF business object is not defined in my business space. It is an internal table that Aware uses.

Can you do a count on a peer-multiple allowed attribute?

If it is an external table then maybe create another reference on your object that mirrors the external table, this way you will have all the functionality

and then have a rule on the Choices Object referencing some sort of counter on the Question Object
Eg: IF ChoiceObject.QuestionObject.QuestionNo1Count =3 Then PROTECT .....

..just shooting from the hip here. 🙂
