Create and Delete Timing Question

I have looked for an answer for this and tried to simulate but not been able to arrive at an answer.

I have a simple BO called MyData and I have a Create/Modify Rule - SystemSettings.RecordCount=COUNT MyData
and I have a Rule on Deletion - SystemSettings.RecordCount=COUNT MyData.

So.... just testing the timing of the COUNT.

On Record creation the COUNT includes the record just created. As I would have hoped and expected.

However, On Deletion, the Action is executed BEFORE the record is deleted so the COUNT also includes the record that have been deleted.

This does not seem correct to my or may be I am approaching it from the wrong place.

Has anyone encountered this before and worked out how to execute the Rule action AFTER the deletion rather than BEFORE?

just an idea as example:

On CREATE increases an Attribute -
On DELETE changes an an attribute bo.attribute='Removed' then count only if Attribute='Removed'?

I may try this now also - will let you know if it works

Using Nina's idea, here is what I got to work:

add a calculated attribute: MyData.RemoveFlag
Place this rule on SystemSettings: SystemSettings.CountMe=COUNT Customer WHERE (Customer.RemoveFlag IS UNDEFINED)
Place this rule on MyData (Created or Modified): UPDATE SystemSettings
Place this rule on MyData (When object is Deleted):
Customer.RemoveFlag='Removed'
UPDATE SystemSettings

I think this COUNT issue should be reported as a bug. I found another minor issue with COUNT related in INSERT the other day that I need to report as well.
