Hi all,
My first post - I'm totally new to AwareIM and currently checking out the trial version of the software to see if I would be able to build my own application... so far, I love the software as I have made a lot of progress but have bumped into something I can't figure out... I tried searching the forum using many combinations of keywords but couldn't locate an answer (or at least I thought to be an answer for my question).
So, here we go:
The main screen as a user logs in contains a query which shows a selection of customers.
Below that, I have multiple other (sub)queries which show specific information for these customers.
The idea is that I want the subqueries to be linked to the main query so when a customer is selected in the main query, automatically the relevant data for that particular customer is updated in the subqueries.
I then (based on some post here) created an attribute for the RegularUser to store the selected customer from the main query (which works) but then I needed to create a button to actually store that attribute (which then subsequently caused the queries to refresh). But when the page is reloaded (eg upon new logon) since the attribute is still the old one (from a previous session) the sub queries show the wrong information.
Now, the cleanest way would be to link the subqueries to the main queries but couldn't find out how to do that.
Other option would be, before the main page is rendered, to reset that attribute of RegularUser, but I also couldn't figure out how to do that...
I have a few situations like this with different queries (all comparable) and the need for these buttons looks a bit 'old school'...
Anybody have any hints or suggestions? And if so, please bear with me - I'm really new to the software so you may get a few follow-up questions... 🙂
Thanks a lot in advance,
B.
