Where should Images of an HTML Doc Templete be put?

I created an HTML document using a tool. In the document it has 3 images which the tool stored them in the folder images at the same level as the html file.
images/Image1.jpg
images/Image2.jpg
images/Image3.jpg

So if I open the html file with a browser, the images shows up.

Now, if I create an HTML Document Template in Aware and I import this html file, which I plan to use the Document Template for HTMLMessage in an email, my question is, what directory that "images" folder has to be, so when user gets the email, the images show up in the email?

Hi Ben,

I use kind of templates, too.

I put those Folders in C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM\FOLDER_WITH_CSS_AND_IMAGES

Ok, so you put the "images" folder in the AwareIM folder. That's I did.

Now, the next question, and see if I'm right. My email machine is different than my development machine. So, I sent an html email test last night from development machine (not a real production server on the web). When I got the email on my other machine, none of the images were showing.
I'm thinking, the reason they're not showing, because the images in the email, are not on the public server to serve the email. Does this make sense?
If you do a test email to yourself and open it, on another machine, do you see the images? Can you please verify this for me George?

Hi Ben,

No. The images are served by the webserver, not by the email server. In our case Tomcat, where AwareIM is running.
I use these kind of emails in my apps. Html with css and images, they look professional indeed.

To keep an order in C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM....I use representative folder for each app.
For example, if I want a specific login page for a bsv, I want specific email templates, specific css, specific images.
I recommend that you create like this:
C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM[b]BSVNAME[/b]\css
C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM[b]BSVNAME[/b]\images
C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM[b]BSVNAME[/b]\loginpage
C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM[b]BSVNAME[/b]\emails
or use your own rules to organize these folders as you like.

Thanks George. I have similar system, but one level up. My folders are in C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps at the same level as AwereIM
