Does anyone have a public SaaS application developed in AIM?

Hi;
I would like to see a commercial rated application written in Aware that runs on public server. I'd like to see how the speed and response time is.
Any link would also be greatly appreciated.

Could you also share with us where it is hosted and how much memory and CPU were setup?

I'm trying to get a feel for the app's performance.
Is 4GB Ram with 2 CPU good enough to run Aware server, MySQL and Windows 2012 server?

We have a bad one (it's embarrassing so we're not going to tell you 😃 ). We will have a good one in about a month, if you can wait.

I wouldn't run a prod server with less than 8GB RAM - I have no technical backup for this other than 5 years of running Aware prod servers. I would recommend AWS.

I wasn't really after Look & Feel, but mainly to get a feel how the response time is from one form to another. That was my main reason.
Secondly, your experience has more value than any technical background.
On the AWS (which I was looking at last night, and my head is still spinning from options), can you tell me which model # in EC2 series is suited well? And is Windows OS installed and managed by Amazon, or do we have to manage it ourselves?

Rod, I was looking at this config, just an example. What do you think?

Looks somewhat expensive for that particular spec. but know AWS can be. I know kklosson has shared his AWS costs before and was also quite expensive.

Here is what I have for 195USD per month (Eukhost):

Dedicated server
Intel Xeon E3-1230 @ 3.20GHz
16 GB DDR3 RAM
2 x 500 GB SATA
WS2008 or WS 2012
I also have a 300GB R1 backup on the server for somewhere around 40USD per month.

OK, not AWS but is dedicated and a powerful server. I haven´t had a single problem in 4-5 years using servers from Eukhost.

That is an excellent pricing for dedicated server.

I plan to do baby steps. Get my product out to production, knowing it will have low volume for the first six months. Once money & volume start coming in, I'll move it to AWS C3.XLarge.
But the big question is, is AWS fully managed by Amazon (updates/upgrades to Windows and etc.)?

I had an aws ec instance running windows 2008 for a year or so and no they don't do windows updates for you. I'm not an instance in that arena but had assumed that they'd manage updates for me - they don't. Otherwise the service was stable, if not exactly inexpensive.

I hope they at least keep up with Service Packs from MSFT.

I'm not positive, but I think they do not handle service packs either. If you think about it, application of a sp could have a negative impact on whatever is running on the instance. Amazon doesn't want to be responsible for that. It's not the same as a shared hosting environment where the provider is responsible for many layers that sit on top of hardware and network. With an EC2 instance, it's 'our' OS.

I don't see any way to edit a post so I'll annotate my previous post here.

I wanted to 'unqualify' what I wrote about not being sure about whether sp are applied by amazon for an EC2 instance. I know they didn't for me. I would guess that they don't, period. However for all I know there is some level of support or some offering where they do take care of that level.
