Time Zone roadblock - need some help with maths

Just hit a roadblock using time zones I have a client in Canada, currently on GMT - 4, My server is on GMT + 1.

So I have an initialisation script which says if there is a daily sheet for the current date, go straight to it otherwise create a new sheet for today.

My server just ticked past midnight ( a new day) . My Canadian clients are 5 hours behind (still yesterday) but when they logged in the initialisation process went to the daily sheet creation process because CURRENT DATE Reads the server time NOT the time zone adjusted time.
HEEEEELLLLP!!!! can anyone figure a way round this Can I get at the TimeZone attribute to find out how many hours behind they are.

new system settings attribute HoursFromServer then changed the process query to

If NOT(EXISTS FlyingSheet WHERE (FlyingSheet.SheetDate=DATE_PART(TIME_ADD(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,SystemSettings.HoursFromServer)))) Then ....

All good

Still think the AIM people should change all the time zone stuff ... but hey - that's just me!!
