TO SUPPORT;

I'd like to request to provide us a hook to the SAVE/CREATE button click event on the form that we can call a process and/or query. I find it that I need to process something after a user clicks on SAVE/Create on a particular form to run some process or call a query. This process should be called only from a specific form, so it's not a BO change event related. Just like Form Operation buttons that we can call a process on click event, the Save/Cancel should have their own as well.

Can we have an 'Execute process after Close/Cancel' ?

Scenario1:
1) From the menu, I call a process to create an object with status='temp', user then edit thisBO.
2) If the user, cancels/closes the form the record will stay in the BO. I then have to run a scheduled process just to clear those 'incomplete forms'

Tom, have you actually used this feature and seeing it worked? I just implemented a simple DISPLAY MESSAGE process and call it from where you pointed out, and nothing displays. Tried it several times and nothing.

Can you verify that this actually works?

One other point I forgot. The original object was created by a process using "ENTER NEW Customer".

This functionality works BUT if I can recall correctly. If you open the form from a process, it does not work.

That's the problem, I have to create the customer via Process to pass it it's parent Tenant Object, and the process that calls the message doesn't work.
Just created a test BSV to send to support that shows that.

I just reported a bug to Support with a Test BSV, screen shot and steps to produce it.

For those who are following this thread, it turned out, it's not a bug or limitation. Here is what Support responded.
Hope this others, in case they run into this.

this is not a bug - a process that is specified in the form only executes when the form is saved outside of the process context.

All you have to do is add your Display Message process after ENTER NEW.
