Hi Guys/Support
This is a more advanced question... Currently When Setting up services, the Service Returns All Child and parent Relationship objects as well.
I See that the Query does allow you to See the SQL form but whenever I Change the SQL form to only return the columns I need and close the query it Throws away my SQL form and defaults back to the Find All Object. Having a Custom SQL Query is the only way to only return Selected columns of the objects found. I do not want the service to return all Child or parent objects as well as that will dramatically impact the performance.
I Note that there is a 'AS_SQL' function as well... not sure how to use that or if that is even relevant for what I'm trying to achieve?
Basically As an example: You have a Property which is owned by Complex.
I have a service with a process that Returns all properties. However in the Service Reply Object It returns all the Attributes of All Properties as Well As the Attributes of the Parent object (Complex) in this case.
So if I was Able to Use SQL Syntax to more Accurately Specify Which columns the service should return I Can Exclude any relationships of Property So that Only Actual Attributes of property Itself is returned by the service.
So Ideally the SQL Query will look like this:
SELECT Property.PropertyName, Property.AddressStreet FROM DFP_PROPERTY AS Property
Please let me know if this is possible or if there is another way to achieve this Without having a second (Duplicate) object in the background.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
Kindest Regards
Hein
