Locale Language Question

I am in the process of looking at making my app multi lingual and was hoping for a bit of a pointer.

Some strings are obvious but I am perplexed regarding the situation where you have multiple text values.

Imagine I have a BO.Status attribute and the values can be
REQUESTED, READY FOR SUBMISSION, SUBMITTED, APPROVED, BOOKED, COMPLETED, SOLUTION REQUESTED, WAITING FOR SELECTION, READY FOR SOLUTIONS, SOLUTION SELECTED

The Spanish translation would be....
SOLICITADO, LISTO PARA SU ENVIO, PRESENTADO,APROBADO, RESERVADO, COMPLETADO, SOLUCIÓN SOLICITADA, ESPERANDO PARA LA SELECCIÓN, LISTO PARA SOLUCIONES, SOLUCIÓN

However, processes in the app test values against the English.... IF BO.Status='APPROVED' Then Whatever.

How does this get handled in Aware or do you have to have this type of text remain in the default language?

Not 100% sure how this works but think the locale is ONLY for the frontend presentation of things. The application / rule engine etc. ALWAYS use the English (or whatever language used in the rule) coded into the rules.

Other or support, please correct me if I´m wrong.

Still checking and no idea how it works but....

I have dumped Spanish in and all seems to work.... 😐

Waiting for a problem to crop up.

I only translated the Configuration type strings so will see how it goes.

Another great learning and discussion point for the Conference.... 37 days to go.
