generate_pwd function

My first attempt to use this function resulted in nothing. In my app, I create a clear password (non-encrypted), then copy it to the password attribute. This way I can email the password. So I tried this...

ThisObject.ClearPassword=generate_pwd()
ThisObject.Password=ThisObject.ClearPassword

Results of Access_ClearPassword are empty. The User Guide doesn't seem to have anything on this function.

GENERATE_PWD has parameters, check the user guide

Well, I don't see you passed in the parameters. Let's say you did, here I created two rules;

The first one creates password:

If Customer IS NEW AND Customer.GeneratedPWD IS UNDEFINED then Customer.GeneratedPWD= GENERATE_PWD(8,15,2,2,2)

The second, gets executed after the password was generated and gets assigned:

If Customer IS NEW AND Customer.Password IS UNDEFINED AND Customer.GeneratedPWD IS DEFINED Then Customer.Password=Customer.GeneratedPWD
