Advanced Button script to style buttons on the toolbar

ACDC

Does anyone have a script that will let me use the advanced button to change the color of operation buttons on a reference. I was hoping in V6.0 there would be a class option on the operation setup so one could style each button separately, in the meantime hopefully an advanced button script will do

ACDC,
I don´t have a config script for this (yet 🙂) but I am pretty sure you can set this via a CSS override:
https://forum.awareim.com/d/7169>

This would allow you to configure CSS PER FORM i.e. you create a custom CSS class you use in a particular form to overide the default styles. You could then if you wanted to use the same override class to all forms (or use different overrides etc.).

Forgot to add, this can not be done for each button in for example a form top bar toolbar (I don´t think). You can use it to set the style of all operations buttons (1 style) and then the save, cancel, add etc. etc. (style per button) buttons individually.

Hi Henrik
I tried your override solution and it does not seem to work anymore - maybe v6.0 is different . I am using the windows8 blue theme . When u have some time can you experiment on the CRM sample and see if you can change the button background on the Customer form. I have followed through with the other links on this topic but no luck

Sure, will see if I can get I working. Which button in particular is it you want to change? You wrote in you original post that you wanted to change a button for references, it it in the toolbar of a references query or next to item or add or?

I can tell you that the override option still works in 6.0. Here is an example where I changed the color of the form bottom buttons to black:

Please could you try your solution out on the buttons in the form side Toolbar , that's where I spent most of my time trying

ACDC,
It is possible and the solution below works for the buttons in the right toolbar but this fix changes ALL buttons in toolbars (on that particular form) so if you have operations / buttons also in for example a top toolbar, they get these changes in style as well.

Screenshot:

Instructions:

Open file "C:\AwareIM\Tomcat\webapps\AwareIM\aware_ext\resources\azzurra-medium\resources\codaxy-theme-azzurra-all_01.css". Note, in this example I have made the changes to the medium size of the theme so add this class to the CSS file of the size you are using.
Add CSS class
.myButton .x-btn-default-toolbar-small
{
background-color: #000 !important;
}
Add config.cls="myButton"; to the advanced script (init.) of the form

Henrik
thanks very much for this . I now have it working, I was configuring the incorrect element :?

ACDC,
Got a treat for you 🙂. It IS possible to set CSS like color of button PER BUTTON. To do this you can use CSS selectors.

Screenshot:

Instructions:

Make sure you have a UNIQUE tooltip added to the button, for example "This button does X".
Add the following CSS selector to the theme file of the theme you are using:
a[data-qtip="This button does X"] { background-color: #000 !important; };

Thanks this is a great work around tip to color individual buttons. This is an interesting concept to add to my "very" basic knowledge of css.

I think it would really be good if support added a button class to individual operations for button styling

Sure, glad to help and I agree. Having these options in Aware IM is much more preferable (and reliable).
