Scheduling rules

Hello,

Is there anyway for a logged in user to change the scheduling rules dynamically?
i.e change the time, day etc.

This is a great idea and actually having this option natively (without UDP) would be great. I have many scenarios where I need scheduling rules to be invoked very often (sometimes down to each minute) and I am concerned with performance and having dynamic scheduling rules we can change via business rules etc. would greatly optimize/better this problem.

Hi,

I believe it is possible to dynamically change when a scheduled item runs by using the system settings object. Follow these steps (off the top of my head):

1) Create an attribute in SystemSettings called, say, RunSceduledProcess_Time
2) Create a scheduling item as normal - but
3) Click on the 'standard form' tab and change the 'if statement' from "CURRENT_TIME='01:00' " to "CURRENT_TIME=SystemSettings.RunScheduledProcess_Time"

Job Done

You can use this method to dynamically change other attributes of the scheduling item too I would imagine. Not sure if you could substitute SystemSettings for LoggedInRegularUser or similar? If anyone experiments I would love to know your results.
