Aware installation deleted my folder under AwareIM

BenHayat

I had created a folder under \Webapps\AwareIm\TXs_Images where I had put my background image, my logo and etc. After installing 2018, the entire TXs_Images folder is gone. My first question is Why?
Secondly, where should I create that folder that Tomcat can see it, but Aware won’t delete it?

I eventually need to put that folder on the live site.
Thanks!

Well, I've tested this issue several times by moving my images folders around and installed Aware and here is the findings.

a) The Image folders must at least reside within Tomcat\webapps folder for Tomcat to see them at runtime.
b) Every Aware installation deletes any folders under Tomcat

So, how o you guys manage not to lose your assets with every installations? Especially when you have live sites?
Thanks!

I replace my app assets folder every time Ben.
As well as the adjustments to my startup.html file.
It is a bit of a PITA and have raised it with support in the past.
Apparently, very difficult to get around.

I was afraid you were going to say that. I guess I need to add those "replacement" procedures as part of my installation policy.

The strange thing is that, any folder above Tomcat. doesn't get deleted. Seems like the installation, deletes the whole Tomcat folder and replaces it with a new one

Thanks for confirmation Mark;
