crisg0112 Hi, How do you implement a temporary password? Do you use an external javascript function or is there one a function that is already builtin AwareIM? Planning to use it when the user forgot his/her password.
aware_support We usually use the RANDOM() function to generate a random number that you can then add to some string or use as is.
kklosson Same here. You can copy it to a plain text field, email it to the user, then clear the plain text field. This should require a password change at first login as well. This is all pretty easy to do.
crisg0112 Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. I will present that and see what they think. Even though it's a temporary password, it has to be a 'strong' one. Security is of utmost important to our client.
customaware How about this as an option Chris. I have attached a zipped csv file that contains 20,000 alphanumeric passwords. Load them up into a BO and then randomly grab one for each new user. Then they can replace it with their own. passwords.zip160.31kB
BenHayat eagles9999 wrote I have attached a zipped csv file that contains 20,000 alphanumeric passwords. Hi Mark; With your permission I've downloaded this file to use. Thank you for your providing this valuable data.
crisg0112 Thanks Mark! Will give that a try, just have to check that it hasn't been issued on the same month 🙂
