Hi,

I have a query that lists all the items that needs to be actioned. The user then clicks on a row that he/she wants to work on.

IF I set the Query Operation to Direct the output to DEFAULT. it works

IF I set it to Direct the Output to 'POPUP', then it fails.

doesn't refresh the screen even when Form auto-refresh setting is set
clicking save, Aware prompts a message saying I need to refresh as another user has updated the data

Does AwareIM opens up a new context when you use a POPUP window?

The output to 'Default' is not an option for us (user-requirement).

fyi - Your signature line still says build 2010.

Your scenario works for me. Query is refreshing properly.

Please describe more about what query operation you are performing (which operation + if it is a process, what are all the steps).

I removed the WHERE conditions on Edit Worksheet so I could get items to show there. Once I did that, I clicked Edit Popup and all the changes were reflected in Edit Worksheet like I would expect.

But removing the WHERE clause will not return the value that I want.

If you try the, Edit_DEFAULT without removing the 'WHERE' it works.

Cris,

Your sample BSV has an issue with it.

The menu options "2. Create worksheet data" should point to the process "createWorksheetData".

When I make that change & put the BSV into test mode, then:

log in as admin,
click "2. Create worksheet data"
click "4. Edit worksheet"
click "Edit Popup" on either of the two instances & make a change to any field

Result: All the changes made during editing are properly refreshed to the Worksheet query.

I don't see any issue with auto refresh and Edit Popup option.

I have no idea what link you are talking about.

Seems like you are changing subjects.

Your original issue was

As far as I can tell, my previous post shows that POPUP options works as expected.

Hi Tom,

Sorry for the confusion. I am not changing the subject.

Yes I agree with your initial finding that Editing via default or popup, refreshes the query list.

What I am trying to achieve is (see screenshots)

Step 1.

Clicking on Edit_Popup
Step 2.

Clicking on link 'Employee_Search', opens up the search screen, type in 's' or 'b' on the lname field and click Search
Step 3.

It will then display a 'result' where the user can 'PICK FROM', select any Employee and press OK.

*** The VALUES are not returned to the screen (as seen on Step 2) (refresh issue ??)
*** Pressing 'SAVE' will give you an error saying another user has updated the data and that you need to refresh it.
*** Clicking the 'REFRESH' icon on the query actually shows the UPDATED data.

BUT using the EDIT_Default link works.

Appreciate your feedback and help in this matter.
