Forcing an attribute change

Say for instance, I have an object called Client which has two lineitems attached to it, Industry and Subindustry. I realised that the Industry and Subindustry are not visible in the query results so in next bsv version, I added a plain text field and a rule to convert. Basically, if Industry = Dogs then Client.IndustryName='Dogs' etc.

BUT these only apply once the Client has been saved. Is there a way to change them all at the same time? I actually have a few different instances where I would need to do a mass event like this.

If you have rules that create these new pieces of info, simply run a process:

FIND ALL Client
UPDATE Client

The process will apply the rules to all instances of Client.

Oh. Well, that makes sense. It's just unfortunate that you need to think about this prior to publishing. If only you could run a new process, like running a new query. Oh well.

Actually, could you not run a process that checks at run time what you want to update? I'm going to fiddle with that.

Ok, so it turns out there was a snag in the process. Seeing as how it is basically saving every Client, it removes the Consultant that owns it and replaces it with no Consultant (it sees the admin user as a consultant because he saves it)

Is there a way to keep the Consultant link intact?
