Hi Tom,
I actually had a different idea based on your idea. What if, every time I created a ForecastLineItem, it created a Meeting-type object that could be viewed in the default calendar view? It will take some rule trickery as our months not 1-31st or whatever but more like 16th-15th of next month.
My question to you is, can you do a total per month? Like showing how many forecasts there are? There could be filters at the top to filter by region, size etc.
Unless the calendar view is the wrong choice, as there will be many forecasts per month (as the Consultant is forecasting a sale per month per client, if the client is buying)
I'm just rambling, trying to understand the best way to do this. My other option is the add a year value and when an issue is chosen (ie Feb 2015) it pulls the date and applies it to year value. Then you can filter by year as well as display the totals.
