Row numbers used in documents

Hi,
has anyone found a workaround to use the row numbers in reports(html, MS Documents)?

Example: I have Invoices Form and in line items I use "Number Rows"...It is possible to use those even in html docs?

I have tried to make some rules to calculate the numbers in a new attribute, but no success.

Anyone, if you found a simple way to use those "number rows" in documents, please share it...

Numbers stored in an attribute should definitely work - it's no different from any other attribute. You must have done something wrong.

I don't speak about numbers in attributes.

I mean the "Number Rows" option in grids.

I want to use these numbers in documents. I tried to use autoincrement option, but if I delete "iBook Air" which is position 3....than in document i will have listed positions: 1,2,4,5 (missing 3)....I would like if I delete position 3.....to recalculate the row numbers and "iPOD" will become 3, "iPhone6" will become position 4..
I hope I made my self understood enough..

Yes, if you simulate this by storing numbers in an attribute you can then use this attribute in documents

I also had this problem and created a custom solution via business rules. The solution is highly dependant on your app configuration so won´t share any specifics. To give you a hint, use rules to find all instances AFTER the instance you are deleting and decreasing their number/sequence with 1.
