Icon deletion

dianab

While playing around in the demo version of Aware I added an icon to one of my attributes. It worked fine but I don't see a way to eliminate the icon without deleting the attribute and recreating it. Am I wrong?

You Added the icon by pointing to it with a filename path, yes?

Just delete the entire filename path.

Got it, thanks. I was looking for a button to delete.

If you wonder about the strange questions, I learn software by playing around test...see what happens....test....
At the same time I am creating the tutorial app too but I often cant' resist playing around and exploring

That is truly the best way to learn Diana.
Coupled with the great support you get from this forum and also from AwareSoft you will definitely be on your way. 😉

When I started using AwareIM, one way I learned was to create mini-BSVs to tackle a question / issue someone posted on the forums and figure it out.

Invaluable!

Yeah good way to learn. Something that has helped me A LOT is actually dissecting the sample applications and when I say dissect I really mean it. Break it down to the smallest component and UNDERSTAND why/how the application is configured.

dianab

Yes I am dissecting the sample applications now in a similar fashion. Make a change look to see what happens and so on and so on.

It gives me confidence knowing that others before me have done a lot of exploring and experimenting too. I hope one day to be in the "Big Leagues"

Your comments are much appreciated.
