This is not a bug.
It is a change in functionality.
In previous versions you selected a Default Action such as Edit.... setting the checkbox on.
When you did this..... Aware used that default action to execute when you clicked on "the actual text" of a query record.
However, the problem was... if you clicked anywhere else in the row... but not on text, it would not execute.
Additionally you had no way to actually automatically select the first row.
Additionally you had no way to execute ANYTHING by moving from row to row with the keyboard.
The new functionality is a follows.
If you select a Default action by setting the default checkbox then.....
That Action WILL execute whenever you click on a row OR whenever you change rows with the Keyboard. Also, it will execute even it you click the button of another action. It will fire both.
To stop that happening, just uncheck the Default checkbox.
As far as the change in functionality goes..... It opens up an entire new range of opportunities such as being able to scroll through records and see the record detail on the screen at the same time and have it dynamically change as you arrow up and down through the records.

Hope this helps.
It is a great new feature..... but like all things that change..... needs a little adjustment here and there.
