Please be advised that the inaugural Aware IM Developers International Conference is being planned for the 13th, 14th and 15th April 2015 in Las Vegas.
Please note that unlike other software conferences this is a conference for Aware IM Developers by Aware IM Developers rather than being organised and run by the software vendor.
As you have probably experienced in the past, most Vendor organised and run conferences tend to end up being 3 days of sales pitch without much substance.
This is different.
3 days of solid content.
Vlad has been invited and will provide a 2 hour presentation on the roadmap for Aware IM to lay out the direction it is headed and more importantly for you as Developers to voice your opinion as to where you want the product to go.
After that, there will be a number of presentations by Developers on particular topics on the first day.
Days 2 and 3 will consist of a variety of hands-on workshops run by experienced Aware IM developers. Classes tailored for all levels of Developers from beginner to intermediate to advanced. This is where you can roll your sleeves up and get down and dirty into what you really want to learn and understand.
The whole point of the conference is for you to head home with a heap of new skills and revved up to get more out of Aware IM than ever before.
Why Vegas?
Again, because this conference is NOT about organisers arranging a junket and making a profit at the expense of you or your employer.
Quite simply because that is the cheapest and most central place to hold a conference.
Hotel rooms are cost effective and there are lots of options.
So, how much will it cost you? The final price of attendance has not been finalised but we expect it to be around the 200-300 USD mark for the 3 days including lunch each day and your freebie giveaway. It may be considerably cheaper and will depend on the number of people who indicate that they would attend. Minimum number will be 50.
Of course travel and accommodation will be at your cost but a hotel room either at the conference venue or at a nearby hotel is certainly less than 100 USD per night.
