Sending Email too slow

Hi,

I have a process that sends an email with 2 attachments.

on the process, my rule is

1) Create EmailMe WITH EmailMe.Attach1=SystemSettings.Attachment1, EmailMe.Attach2=SystemSettings.Attachment2
2) SEND EmailMe TO Customer
3) DISPLAY MESSAGE ASYNCH DELAY 10 'Email sent to '+Customer.EmailAddress

SystemSettings.Attachment1 and SystemSettings.Attachment2 are DOCUMENT type. They are just product brochure pdfs and a sale catalogue pdf which I uploaded into the SystemSetting BO.

I am receiving the email with the right attachment but the 'Executing...' message is displayed for almost a minute before it finishes...

I even checked the option 'If process takes longer than 5 seconds, run process in the background'

Log viewer doesn't say anything at all.

any ideas?

Could be :

1- Memory allocated to AwareIM server ( 1024 is good, I have 2048 )
2- The attachments size. If they are over 1 MB it might be due to your upload speed

If "EmailMe" is a BO try to have Attach1 and Attach2 have a default value of SystemSettings.Attachment1 and SystemSettings.Attachment2

then modify the step one of your Process as "Create EmailMe" only.

As for every programming language, short and clean code is a guarantee of speed.

Thanks for the suggestions.

EmailMe is an IncomingEmailNotification, not sure if its a BO though.

Also, I cannot initialise the Attach1 and Attach2 as the attachment depends on who is logged in.

Reduced the sizes to 360KB and 12KB.

Anyway will try and see if there is a more efficient way to send this email.

If you want to send an email it mus be an OutgoingEmail BO....

If you want to test your PC just install the demo app, CRM. There is there a Process sending emails to Customers. Just check if it send quicker than your app and with the same attachments. If it works well it means you have to review your Rules.
