forcing user to enter search parameters

Hi,

On the help under Tips & Tricks, there is a section on how to force the user to enter parameters of the search.

If I have more than one parameter, then this solution won't work because I then have to make all my attributes to be 'required'?? Did I understand it right?

My requirement is that the user can search on any of the four parameter for the search.

Not familiar with the part of the user guide / how to on this but if nothing else you can always use business rules to validate / confirm either of the form attributes is defined (and leave required for the attributes disabled). You may have to change the first part of the rule (not sure in which scenario you are calling the particular form):

If BO WAS CHANGED AND BO.Attribute1 IS UNDEFINED AND BO.Attribute2 IS UNDEFINED AND BO.Attribute3 IS UNDEFINED Then
REPORT ERROR 'Error, please type in search term.'
