Hi Support.
Ok, to clarify. Say for instance you have a Layout using the main of a Visual perspective.

Now in this layout you Display Various components of a Ticket Object of some sorts. I.e.
A- The Ticket Details itself. (using a process to view the ticket using a sopecific form, when this layout is opened)
B- SMS Messages linked to this ticket (Query: View SMSmessgages WHERE SMS Messages IN Ticket.SMSMessages)
C- Email Messages Linked to this ticket. (Similar query as SMS's)
E- Another Query displaying another object linked to this ticket.
NOW... in the D Panel of this layout I want to Import an HMTL File with HTML/CSS dropdown buttons to execute certain operations. BUT some of these buttons need this specific ticket as context and since this Panel is not a Query, or and Object form... There is currently no way of telling it which ticket you are referring to? Unless I'm missing something obvious.
On a Query you have Context of the object being referred to and on a form you can use the AwareApp.startProcess2(‘MyProcess’,’MyObject’,256,’main’), but in a panel it won't be able to find 'This'.
Any comments will be appreciated.
PS - a Workaround That I've used in the past is to Insert the Ticket into a special 1 to 1 relationship on LoggedInSystemUser when selected. Then you can use that relationship to give context. However this approach won't work if you allow tabs at the top of your application because then the user can open multiple instances and then the wrong context could potentially be used.
Kindest Regards
