Drop down in inline editing

Is it possible to have a drop down in; inline editing?

I would like my users when entering orders to not have to pop up a window for the line detail.

I would like then to enter the order header, have a order lines window below and when they click 'New', just drop in to that section and enter the line.

The first field needs to be a drop down. Maybe others.

Ex:

Item Code (dropdown) - Qty - Unit Price Extension.

Thanks. I actually found this in the manual. But I'm trying to work through this completely and am not sure if I will be able to do exactly what I would like.

I would like the option of dropping down and selecting the item code which it is doing now, but I would like it where they can just type any item code or description in.

I was trying to duplicate a feature of another package.

Maybe the best way to do this would be if they type in the filed and the Item doesn't exist, maybe pop an option to add to add the item.

It would be nice just to let them type a line in without the item having to exists.

Your thoughts.

Note: Just looked at other package and if they user does not type in a valid Item Code, it blanks it out just like AIM. So I am good so far.

My rules stop working such as pulling the description, but am going to look at that now.

I getting into a lot of screen stuff and everytime I think AIM can't do something, I find or get help from the forum and I can. Impressive.
