Yes this is the case (exported Report Designer reports & presentations cannot be seen either).
I keep all HTML files for import in a separate folders.
One HTML file per folder is a requirement at the moment.
When importing, just open the folder and the file will import. Having more than one HTML file in the same folder is a problem.
This is the case with the visual perspective 'Import HTML page' option as well.
Keep individual HTML files in separate folders with detailed folder names (since you can't see the filename.html).
