Chart ideas, MANY categories?

hpl123

Hi all,
Working with charts etc. and trying to think of a way/chart to use to display MANY different categories. Which chart is best suited for this that works even when there are many (e.g. 50+) categories?

Any ideas? Thanks

You can try the available chart option or try to integrate Fusioncharts but don't forget that too may data on a chart will cause display problems. Try to keep it clean and simple 🙂

Thanks powerm, yeah keeping it simple and manageble is key and currently trying to find the best option to my "problem". What im trying to display is sold products in a chart and this works with the existing chart alternatives BUT what if a user has 50 products, then the chart wouldnt work anymore.

Anyone solved this in a nice way? I Could limit number of products but would rather not do that.

You can see some samples here :

Do the fusionchart set still work though? I THINK I recall something about them not working with AIM anymore?

It's Mysql based so you can make it work....no problem

I have no idea if these steps still work, but here is an old Fusion Charts post you could try:

Thanks guys,
Have solved my original problem FOR NOW. Hoping the new charts in v6 is kickass 🙂.

Realized I could share the "solution". I have created a pie chart with no legends and then also a max no of 50 products per user. The pie chart is OK for many categories BUT still not ideal so hopefully not many users has up to 50 products. The user would when hovering over pie pieces see product and totals sold. Not the best solution but again will do for now.
