displaying retrieve data

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has come across this problem before.

I have a BO called testBO.
Attributes are :
a_userid
a_useridname
b_userid
b_useridname

On my create form,
i have 2 rules

Rule1: Dynamic recalculation
IF testBO IS NEW and testBO.a_userid IS DEFINED
FIND People WHERE People.UserID = testBO.a_userid
testBO.a_useridname = People.UserIDName

Rule 2: Dynamic recalculation
IF testBO IS NEW and testBO.b_userid IS DEFINED
FIND People WHERE People.UserID = testBO.b_userid
testBO.b_useridname = People.UserIDName

Rule 1 works ok but NOT Rule 2. Am I missing something? I have checked the Logfile Viewer and it is updating the testBO.b_useridname with the correct values. The only problem is that it is not being displayed on the screen at all.

testBO.b_useridname = People.UserIDName

If your FIND action finds more than 1 People, which one will Rule 2 use to set the username?

Hi Rennur,

Thanks for your reply.

I have two different attributes for the user.

One is test_BO.user_A and then its test_BO.user_B

So there is no possibility that the user_A and user_B will be the same.

Are user_A and user_B reference attributes? Is so, to what object?
Is username a plain text attribute?

Maybe on the second rule rule try using the That prefix.

testBO.b_useridname = ThatPeople.UserIDName

No they are not reference attributes.

My BO looks like this

userid_a plaintext
userid_a_name plaintext
userid_b plaintext
userid_b_name plaintext
