Here is how to pass the process name in the URL.
1) Put the following JavaScript in the <head> section of your logon html file:
<! -- JavaScript function to get values from the URL -->
<script type="text/JavaScript">
function gup( name )
{
name = name.replace(/[\[]/,"\\\[").replace(/[\]]/,"\\\]");
var regexS = "[\\?&]"+name+"=([^&#]*)";
var regex = new RegExp( regexS );
var theURL=self.location.href;
var results = regex.exec( theURL );
if( results == null )
return "";
else
return results[1];
}
</script>
2) Put the following JavaScript at the top of the <body> section. Change “processParm” to the name of your parameter in the URL.
<script>
<!-- Get the process from the URL -->
theProcess = gup("processParm");
</script>
3) Put the following JavaScript before the first </fieldset> tag (be careful with the placements of the single quotes and double quotes):
<!-- if a process was found in the URL, write the firstCommand line to the HTML -->
<script>
if (theProcess.length > 0) {
document.write('<input name="firstCommand" type="hidden" value="startProcess,'+theProcess+'">');
}
</script>
4) The URL to email to the user would look something like
http://localhost:8080/AwareIM/logon.html?processParm=myProcess
When the user logs in, myProcess will execute.
