Determining if app in production or test mode

Hi,

I am building an application where the audit logs will be a significant percentage of the data stored. So I am thinking that I should define an external database for storing these logs - they will be tens of millions of rows.

I will need two tables - one for the audit logs created whilst AwareIM is in test mode, and another for the audit logs created whilst AwareIM is in production mode.

My question is, how do I know what operational mode the application is in, so I can know which table to write to? I've had a look at the functions, but can't see anything there.

Any thoughts, or a better solution, would be appreciated.

On the WareIM settings you have one database for the production mode ( BASDB ) and one for test mode ( BASDBTEST ) . If you have decided to have a separate database for your bsv and an other database for the logs the production logs will be on that database and the test logs will be on the BASDBTEST database.

So I'm assuming that I need to define 2 databases for the logs - say BASDB_LOGS and BASDBTEST_LOGS.

The problem is, from my application, how do I know which database to write to? I'm using MySQL.

Am I missing something here?

it should be like this :

1: production logs goes to go BASDB or any name
2: testing logs goes to BASDBTEST or any name
3: in your bsv you create a BO connecting to BASDBTEST as an external database so you can see the testing logs only
