Email Notifications - Name included in FROM

Hi,

Could anyone tell me how can it be displayed in Notifications the Name of the Sender in FROM field?

Now, if I send a Notification from email address "support@domain.com"---- in Outlook in FROM column appears that the email is received from "support" (lowcase, not so business)..

If I send an email from john@domain.com...the email is received from "john"...
How can I setup that the email is received from attribute "John Doe"?

Could it be somehow to setup the <<NameAttribute.>> + <<EmailAddressAttribute>> so in email client the FROM column to display the NAME of the sender ???

How the e-mail looks to the user is defined when you setup the account with your e-mail provider.

Ok, I understand that what you say is for the main email account setup in SystemSettings, right?
in my case I have an Invoicing app with multiple companies and each of them has multiple users.
Users of the companies are sending notifications and needs that their Names and email addresses to appear in email's FromAddress field.

When an Notification email is sent in FromAddress appears the user's EmailAddress, but in FROM name appears just "john" (example the user Name=John Doe, EmailAddress=john@company.com).

Hi Weblike,
To display something else besides the FROM email address in an email sent to a recipient, add the following to the notification "FromAddress" attribute initial value:

Personal Name user@host.domain

This will display "Personal Name" in the FROM field and "Personal Name user@host.domain" in the details when opening the email.

Thank you for your reply and sharing this. I would love to see more users as active like you and few others on this forum.

What are you saying is working just fine, but I gone deeper with this testing and discovered that works fine dynamically with attributes, like this:

Suppose you have 2 attributes:
- <<BO.Name>> , <<BO.EmailAddress>>

you should write the initial value of FromAddress attribute exactly like this:
<<BO.Name>> < <<BO.EmailAddress>> > (ATTENTION: put space between "<" before those 2 attributes and the last ">").

The email is sent and in email-client in From field appears what I'd like to see "the name of the sender"..... 🙂 .... I love developing apps with AWIM...

If you forget to put the spaces you will get error in AWIM server output and the email won't be sent:
javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Missing '<' in string ``
