Dniehaus I am connecting to an external view in microsoft SQL server. I created a business object within Aware IM and set a primary Key. I have the main panel open when logging in with a simple query. The problem is only 1 item displays on page 1, 1 item on page 2 and 4 items on page 3. it shows that there are 16,000 + items out there. I have checked the setting and it is set to display 20 per page. also it takes about 30 seconds when I hit the next page button. Not sure what is going on. Any help would be much appreciated.
Dniehaus No. The view is 8 tables joined together. I could not do the same in aware IM is there a fix or update for the issue
aware_support By the way, if you just want to see the result of the table join, you can write a stored procedure that will do the appropriate SELECT and then run the stored procedure from within Aware IM. This is an easy workaround.
Dniehaus Is the problems with the SQL views fixed in 6.0? Before I pay for the next upgrade I want to make sure that it truly does support SQL server. If not I can buy Alpha Software that does connect to SQL views for the same price. I also wanted to note that we did pay$1,250 extra for the SQL Server support option that does not work.
aware_support Aware IM does support SQL Server natively and this option works and is used by many customers. What you are trying to do has nothing to do with option as you are trying to connect to an existing external view. There were no changes in this area in version 6.0 - we have pointed out an easy workaround for you. Stored procedure do work and work well. Not sure why you cannot use it...
crisg0112 I am using views at the moment. And I can see the result in a query. What exactly is it that you are having problems with? and support, what are the known issues in MSSQL views? Thanks
aware_support Nothing specific that we can report. Some people complained at times about views but maybe these were user problems.
