New BO Creation Question

I have a BO that can be created either by a user or by means of a process under certain circumstances.

There are particular Rules for the BO that I only want to execute when a User creates the BO but NOT when the process creates it.

Is there any way to accomplish that functionality.

I am sure the answer is likely to be simple but cannot see the wood for the trees.

Have a attribute with 2 vales 'User Created' and "System Created'.
Have the initial value set to User Created

Have your rules check this value
If BO.CreatedBy='User Created' Then excute my rule

If you are creating a Bo via process, use
CREATE BO WITH BO.CreatedBy='System Created'

This way, the rule that check 'User Created' will not execute.
