New method required for java plug-in?

Correct me if I am wrong, but for AwareIM version 5.9 is a new method (getRequiredFactPatterns) now required for any plug-in that implements IFunctionLibrary?

What is the intended purpose for this method?

Adding:

public HashSet getRequiredFactPatterns (String functionName, Collection parms) {
return null;
}

seems to have my plug-in working again.

pardon my ignorance, but could you explain how this method is used to compile the java extention again in this new version of awareim?

Just add

public HashSet getRequiredFactPatterns (String functionName, Collection parms) {
return null;
}

at the bottom of your program before the last curly brace }.

This code does not do anything except allow you to compile the program.

According to AwareIM Support

Just leave it like that and it should be fine.

Thanks, with this method and changing instruction

import java.util.Collection;
by instruction
import java.util. *;

I could compile the extention

Sorry, I keep forgetting about that.

You needed to either add
import java.util.HashSet;
at the top with the other import statements, or do what you did which will import HashSet, Collection and everything else in java.util.
