5.9 improvement - links to operations are now not removed

I noted with interest that links to operations are now not removed when the target is a popup.

I execute a PICK FROM <query> action. The query has a VIEW operation, so that the user can see more details before picking from the picklist.

I understood the improvement to mean that the VIEW operation would be visible on the picklist (which displays as a popup).

It doesn't display. Am I misunderstanding something here?

Yes, links should now be available in the popup forms, but I don't understand what is not being displayed.

The query shows a Description attribute, and there's a VIEW operation.

I would have thought that the picklist form, in the popup, would show:

Description1 View
Description2 View
Description3 View
etc

Before making a selection from the picklist, I was hoping that the user could choose View action, which would display the Main form of the object of the picklist.

All I am seeing is:

Description1
Description2
Description3
etc

I am testing in Chrome.

Still don't understand. Please provide more details - what exactly your process or query has.

I have defined a query on an object. This query has a [View] operation defined. When run as a query, and when the [View] is selected, it executes the View Object operation type.

All good.

When I use the same query from a PICK FROM action, the defined attributes of the object are still listed, as expected, but there's no [View] operation at the end of each listed line.

I read the enhancement to mean that the query would show all attributes AND operations, even when run in a popup (which PICK FROM does).

Support, correct me if i´m wrong but I don´t think next to item operations work in pop ups like the one you are describing. I think this new fix is related only to above the form etc. operations i.e. if you have a form with a operation on that form set to be displayed above the form, now it´s visible in pop up forms (before it wasn't).

PICK FROM operates as part of a process. All links are always disabled for a process and the new change does not apply here.

The new change only applies to the "Popup window" option in operations - it doesn't apply to processes.

Thanks guys, I now understand why the enhancement doesn't solve my problem.
