SQL query help

Hi,

Can someone tell me why my SQL statement doesn't work in AwareIM while using the same query in MSSQL Query, I get the correct result.

select * from testdb_PCfil1017 where PCfil1017.ClientID
IN
(select PCfil1016.ClientID from testdb_PCfil1016 where PCfil1016.StaffID = LoggedInRegularUser.LoginID)

Hi,
One of the most difficult aspects of learning AwareIM for previous developers is to put the old paradigms aside and embrace the AwareIM methodology.

Don't worry about the sql statement, build your query in the tools provided and you will be fine. Once you have built your query, you can look at the sql code developed to answer your own question but I must admit that referencing the actual sql code is not something that I often do as it is not necessary.

When in doubt, read the manual, this really is a lot easier than you are trying to make it.

Hi,

Thanks for your insight.

I have thought of using business object groups for the two BO's but since they are external and awareim doesn't allow you to put them in a BO group, can you please suggest on how I can achieve the same result?

I thought the purpose of the 'SQL Form' tab is to allow direct SQL statements running within AwareIM??? or am i wrong into thinking that?
