Can some please clarify the following....
In a Reference (multiple allowed) Attribute the only option to Delete is a Delete From List operations as compared to a Query where a Delete Object Operation is available.
Yesterday I had an issue where invoking a Delete from List did not in fact delete the record as when I added a new record the data from the just Deleted fro List record was displayed. This alerted me to delve a little deeper as this was all of a sudden a forehead smack situation as I have Delete From List in reference tables all through my app and am concerned that I may be generating orphaned records and not realising it.
I have tested in a new BO and yes, the Delete From List actually deletes the record.
So, my question is.....
Under what circumstances does Delete From List actually delete the record as compared to just removing from the list?
If Delete From List only removed the record from the List, how can one identify the record so as to either delete it later or re-associate it with the parent? As, I assume it is now orphaned.
Under what circumstance should one call a process to delete the record?
