Budget Current Month

Does anyone know how to only show sales for the current month. I have tried using a list with January = 1 but it is in a couple of attributes that are SalesMonth (January, February, etc) and SalesMonthNumber (1, 2, 3, etc) so basically we are using a rule that says:

If CURRENT_MONTH=SalesMonthNumber (since Current_Month uses a number according to the user guide)

Then Budget=SUM Item.Amount WHERE(Item.OrderDate=SalesMonthNumber)

THis is roughly what we are doing to try and get a sum.

Also we need to add an item to the system or update item price but keep the old price for clients that ordered previously and have an invoice for the item. We are using a duplicate where one becomes inactive and one becomes active. I don't particularly like this as it doesn't do it within the system without human interaction.

Solution: After about 72 hours of working on it. I thought I would share since so many seem to be viewing the post.

MY BO's Item, Staff, Budget, Manager and Customer.

Budget.TotalMonthylSales= SUM Item.TotalAmount WHERE((MONTH(Item.Date)=CURRENT_MONTH AND YEAR (Item.Date)=CURRENT_YEAR AND Item.State='Sold' AND Item.Customer.Staff.Manager.ID=LoggedInManager.ID AND Budget.Staff.ID=Item.Customer.Staff.ID)

This works to show the current month sales for all items belonging to the staff with a status for the item of sold.

If I could get some assistance on how to do the other month's it would be great. Also don't know if it matters but am not removing it, under Budget I went through and created a rule for each month Where January=1 and the one was attached to an attribute BudgetMonthNumber.

Hopefully this helps someone on the forum as I have received help here also.
