Menu Visibility

Hi,

I have a Customer BO and a CustomerForms (BO), multiple-allowed and peer relationship.

my customerforms BO has a user-defined ID, e.g.
ID = 1
Form = Appointment Letter
ID = 2
Form = Resignation Letter

On my Menu, I want to be able to control what forms the logged in customer can see.

I tried Forms IN LoggedInCustomer.Form, but regardless of who logs in, they can all see the menu.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Crisg0112,
I don´t know if I understand you correctly but one thing you can do is use the applicability options. To do this for example for a top bar menu item, type in the following in the "condition when invisible":

"NOT(LoggedInSystemUser.ID=1)"

This then hides this menu item for users that don´t have the ID=1 in the user BO.

NB: I don´t think you can use an attribute called ID (reserved for system) so use another name e.g. "ApplId".

It is the menu system that I am trying to have the visibility on and off.

Will this expression be valid

LoggedInCustomer.Form.FormID <> 6 ???

The solution I wrote about will let you control individual menu items in the menusystems (top bar, left side menu etc.).

Regarding the expression, Form.FormId, is this BO Form and attribute FormId from BO Form? If not and you´re trying to point directly to forms, this is not possible.

But the FormID is on the Form Business Object.

Customer has a 1-to-Many, peer relationship with the Form BO

I hope I am explaining it clearly, if not I will post a sample bsv.

No problem and kind of swamped so can´t look into this in more detail. Read the user guide page 263 and see if you can´t figure it out.
