Document Deployment Issue

Hi,

I am using an MS-Word (office 2010) as a document template. Everything works well when running it on my laptop.

I have deployed the application on to our server which doesn't have any microsoft office installed.

Is it a requirement that you need microsoft office installed on the app server as well?

It is. I installed MS Word from an old Office XP that I had lying around.

The server requires MS Word to do the merging, but end users can open the rendered document in OpenOffice.
