INCREASE BY function

Hi,

I have 2 BO: Invoices and Series
in Invoice BO esxists the LinkedSeries reference attribute.

Series BO:

I have this process CreateInvoice which looks like this:
Enter New Invoices
View Invoices
Increase Invoices.LinkedSeries.CurrentNumber BY 1

The problem is that randomly the Increase function don't do anything. sometimes I have duplicates of CurrentNumber.

If anyone of you has an advice I will greatelly appreciate.

Try to use last action in another rule

Increase Invoices.LinkedSeries.CurrentNumber BY 1[code]

The process is composed from 3 rules....INCREASE is already the 3rd rule...Or do you mean something else?

Try this in 2nd RULE

FIND LinkedSeries WHERE (LinkedSeries.Invoices=Invoices)
INCREASE LinkedSeries.CurrentNumber BY 1

Follow Up 3rd RULE with
VIEW Invoices

Try putting the INCREASE rule as a rule in the BO itself

IF Invoices IS NEW THEN INCREASE Invoices.LinkedSeries.currentNumber by 1

Another possibility might be using the MAX functions. See the Library sample application (Membership number) rules.
