Where have my emails gone? Not in UNSENT_EMAIL

I am wondering if anyone has experienced problems with emails just disappearing? I sent out a batch mailing of approx 75 mails with PDF attachments on Thursday last week. We checked the logs on the email server and only about half the mails reached the email server from the server running Aware IM. My ISP checked connections and even checked to see that the domain/IP for both servers were not blacklisted or anything like that.
There is nothing showing in the UNSENT_EMAIL folder either. Within the AwareIM app they show as sent. And that's where the trail runs cold. Unfortunately too much time has passed for me to check the AIM logs as it was only brought to my attention this morning.
Was hoping maybe someone else has experienced something similar?

This has just happened again. I had 4 emails to send. Selected all to send the batch and only one was received by the recipients.

Searched all logs and the only problem was:

2014-03-12 14:35:26,212 ERROR MyBS#admin -Unable to start e-mail channel for business space MyBS. It is possible that SystemSettings object is not initialised.

Have no idea where to even start looking. What worries me most is that there was no error message, and no "unsent email" - the mails just disappeared into thin air "POOF" 🙁

I know for sure that they never arrived at my mail server. Nothing has been changed.

Any ideas? Please?

Did you ever get a response on this one? We are noticing the same behavior now. People calling saying they don't receive emails and then there is Nothing in Unsent, the system Shows it has been sent... And on the SMTP service there are no bounces or Spam flags. Some emails just disappear as you say.

I actually ended up getting Support to sort it out for me. I still occasionally experience problems but have found that if I send mails in batches it's better than sending a whole bunch at once.
