PRINT DOCUMENT question

I'd like to be able to print a HTML or PDF receipt (on a client PC's printer) as soon as a BO is created. The printing needs to be quick & instant (without any confirmation) the way the POS dockets work.

My thinking is, using CREATE DOCUMENT using a template, PRINT DOCUMENT to network printer.

My question,
Can PRINT DOCUMENT function call documents from:

[X] Document templates, reports (all document formats)
[ ] Attributes of Document type (BO.Document)
[ ] Document stored in as a file (c:/AwareIM/documents/invoice1234.pdf)

I have not done it but while looking into AIM for POS cash drawer use I found the chrome serial API. POS printers do come in serial and I believe have the cash drawer plugged into it. https://developer.chrome.com/apps/serial

There are programs like http://silentprint.com/ that watch a folder but I am not sure on how responsive it is, and its windows only.

Super good find with the browser plugin/sniffer option.
