Update - I just tested something that may offer a clue to what is going on.
I have been loading data via the import facility using a process. This was giving the odd result when trying to move next/prev. I just entered the data manually and all seems to be working. While the data appears fine (when viewing thru sql server utils) when automating, there definitely is something not being sync'd this way.
I will be looking at the relationships next.
